I flew KHI-SHJ-DMM on air arabia and the beginning of my trip was very awful at JIAP. Flight G9549 Departs at 2.40 AM, technically a rush hour at KHI with SV, QR and EK too having flights in the same time period.
The main issue: One or Two passengers departing but their whole Khandaan arrives at the airport to see them off! The management was asleep as ususal and there were brawls breaking out at the main entrance. Lahore airport is even smaller than JIAP, wonder what the situation is over there:
This chaos is common at Karachi Airport, especially when a shift change of ASF staff or one of the baggage scanners at the first entry is not working or unmanned.

It's an everyday story for Islamabad. With it's "genius" design.
I dont know if this was due to Sunday morning but it took me:
1 hour to enter the terminal building (they check ticket, passport)
25-30 mins to get through baggage control
20 mins to checkin
1 hour for immigration
Made to gate 10 mins before departure time.

Lahore not bad on the really early morning flights. Dropped my sons at the 8.30 Qatar flight in the morning and the airport was fine, plus winter mornings less people there to drop.
Night flights on Thai not bad, real chaos in lahore starts after 10 pm till I think 3 am.
