Shame for PIA because of Emirates, Emirates airlines was established in 1985 by leasing 3 PIA's B 737-300, after 3 years Emirates returned all air crafts to PIA and now Emirates is one of the largest airlines of the world and PIA still same position as 1985.

First of all it was one A300 and one 737.
Second I think you should mean shame on the rulers of Pakistan that destroyed PIA.
Golden Handshake schemes
In 1988 Benazir rehiring thousands of PIA employees fired during Zia days and giving them back pay and then retirement benefits.
PIA Premier by Nawaz Sharif causing a loss of 15 million dollars.
Shame on the rulers who destroyed PIA for corruption and self motivated reasons.

I think PIA was in a better situation in 1985 compare to now. They were innovative and had a good reputation at that time.
Soo PIA launched emirates in retaliation to fail its rival
PIA did not launch Emirates. It was launched by the Dubai government. Pakistanis need to get over this myth that PIA created Emirates.
Emirates leased two planes for 1 year from PIA and after that it got its own planes.
Also the vision of the Dubai Emir was to make Dubai a progressive city, in Pakistan our rulers are more worried about the new phases of DHA.
Partially correct but if u study power politics & aviation dynamics of 1980'd in middle east & south asia region then you would understand the might of Gulf air and why PIA was hell bent to destroy its hegemony from gulf market !!
Well, our government doesn't want progress, instead they used PIA as a money machine. I remember reading an interview in Aviation magazine with the CEO of PIA in 2016 who said that there was not even money to carry our repairs. I think such things say enough about the state of this airline. Other airlines have a better safety record and far better image.
