According to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) notification issued on July 28, 2023:

* International vaccination for polio has advised at least 4 weeks polio drops vaccination before flight departure.

* Polio counters at airports are providing polio cards for "leftover" passengers under One Window Facilitation Desk (OWFD). Previously, the counter used to provide polio cards to the entire flight, but due to strict compliance on 4 weeks vaccination prior to travel, there is a shortage of polio cards, making it impossible to facilitate all passengers.

* It is therefore requested to all airlines/Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to inform passengers at the time of issuance of ticket that they should obtain polio cards from their respective District Health Office before arriving at the airport and mitigate any untoward incident.

Air Sial announcement for international passengers

Government of Pakistan has issued a notice informing all individuals travelling abroad to carry the newly issued online Polio Card from National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA). The old polio cards will no longer be accepted for travel purpose.

@Amaad Lone It is not the Pakistani government. It is a mandatory requirement in some countries for Pakistani passport holders to have proof of polio vaccination.

NADRA refutes reports of making polio drops mandatory for intl travel

Looks like not required by everyone ?

https://www.thenews.com.pk/amp/1096764- ... ertificate

Also on PIA website it is only needed if travelling to Qatar.

Not sure why Airsial created their poster they don’t even fly to Qatar maybe KSA also has a requirement?

Anyone travelled recently who can confirm if this is an issue?

According to Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) clarification:

Pakistan CAA letter seen on various media platforms was an internal correspondence of Islamabad International Airport which has been cancelled. It is made clear that this letter is in no way a polio travel advisory. Airlines and passengers of international flights from Pakistan are advised that they should first inquire about the health policy of the destination country for passenger polio vaccination proof requirement.

National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) clarification:

NADRA only issues Polio Vaccination Certificates. NADRA has not instructed airlines to check passengers travelling abroad for Polio Vaccination Certificates.

Seems outdated info on link: https://www.endpolio.com.pk/certificate ... ertificate

Pakistan CAA already has issued clarification on this matter.

PIA and foreign airlines operating international flights from Pakistan also have not issued any advisory for passengers on polio vaccination certificate requirement.

am travelling to JFK on Sep 18 via EY

Do I need Nadra Certificate for polio vaccination?
Though I gone through that it was miscommunication and no longer needed but am still reluctant to trust on the clarification alone.
