Serene Air announces its participation in Hajj 2023 flights operation.
The privately-owned Pakistan airline's flights will transport pilgrims from Pakistani cities of Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar to Saudi cities of Jeddah and Medina.
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Government of Pakistan, message in March 14 newspaper for intending Hajj pilgrims with Hajj expenses information:
South Zone: Karachi, Quetta, Sukkur
Regular Hajj Scheme
Infant: PKR 61,865
Adult: PKR 1,165,000
with the economic crisis in Pakistan and shortage of foreign currency, might have been better if the government had told its citizens to skip hajj this year.
Where will Pakistan find the dollars for the 80,000 that will travel from Pakistan???

Under "Sponsorship Hajj Scheme", friends/relatives of intending pilgrims can send Hajj expenses payment from abroad in US Dollars to Pakistan's Ministry of Religious Affairs bank account. Intending Hajj pilgrims under this "Sponsorship Hajj Scheme" will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia without going through Hajj balloting process.
43,308 seats are reserved under "Sponsorship Hajj Scheme" under "First Come, First Served" rule.
PIA to hire services for city check-in of Hujjaj in Makkah and Medina
PIA intends to hire city check-in service in cities of Makkah and Medina city for Hujjaj traveling to Pakistan from airports of Jeddah and Medina on PIA post-Hajj flights.
Guidelines for the submission of proposals are given below:
* This contract will be valid for the hajj operation of year 2023.
* Rates quoted should be at least valid for 2023.
* Hitit Crane system to be used as Departure Control System (DCS).
Besides the proposals, following information/documents must be submitted in order to enable us evaluate technical bids:
1. List of clients and letter of recommendations from 02 existing/past clients.
2. Undertaking to provide all services by itself instead of third party
3. Acceptance of our Service Level Standards (SLA) & flight schedule.
4. Employee training record.
5. Permission from all concerned authorities to operate.
6. List of number of staff/employees along with their job description
7. List of check-in equipment along with complete details like make/age/capacity of check in time/number
8. Proof of financial position (Bank letter verifying sound financial position)
9. A detailed list of vehicles inventory; quantity, date of acquisition & specification.
10. Company profile and experience
UBL advertisement in March 15 newspaper with information about sending payment from abroad in USD to Ministry of Religious Affairs, Government of Pakistan, bank account in Pakistan to bear Hajj expenses of sponsored pilgrim under "Sponsorship Hajj Scheme".
