Although they are a charter class II airline, there should be more TRPI license airlines since it requires much less Paid up capital and security advance.

How many of them will be acquired? Are they also supposed to acquire three of them in order to start their operations or it is different for them according to their license category?

^ Charter flight operators can start with a single aircraft. Fleet of at least three aircraft registered in Pakistan required for operating regular scheduled passenger flights on domestic routes.

Recently saw a pic of K2 airways's Embraer jet in red livery at @startuppakistansp ,not sure if it's legitimate.

I have emailed the pic info@historyofpia.com , can someone upload it here?.

This artist's impression of E190 in K2 Airways livery apparently has been provided by the airline to the news media.

According to K2 Airways press release:

K2 Airways plans to serve specific domestic destinations with two Embraer E190 aircraft this year. The aim is to link underutilized and smaller airports of Pakistan with Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore, to make travel convenient for Pakistani travelers.

This will narrow the gap as the airline will offer flexibility to travelers in choosing the right airport within the catchment area. The airline can operate as a feeder carrier for the existing domestic airlines to complement their operations as well.

The airline has a well-thought strategy to diversify and reshape passengers' travel experience through the exposure of Embraer E-Jet cabin which is based on 2+2row seating, with comfortable leg space.

How many airports up north can actually handle the Embraer aircraft? Would be useless to name the airline 'K2' if your aircraft can't land there. Probably KDU is the only one?.

Also, can an airline switch from one license to another? ie: can they start operations as a TPRI or charter airline and switch to general commercial airline licence?
