An unrealistic goal considering they can't afford to paint the 4 newly inducted A320s

Probably the two 777LRs. Would be nice to have the 773s refurbished as well for UK/US (eventually)

Re: PIA to Refurbish Passenger Cabin of Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 Aircraft With New Seats
Apparently AP-BLC has also been refurbished, AP-BLS is Undergoing maintenance checks and probably will be refurbished as well. The seats look very similar to those on newly inducted AP-BMV. Some are saying that AP-BGK has also been refurbished with new seats apparently. AP-BID and AP-BGK might be amongst the first 777's with new seats?. Also no in-flight entertainment screens apparently. PIA should do what Etihad are doing on their Narrow Bodies, all the 320s and 321s of etihad which are flying regional routes ie: south asia and middle east don't have in-flight entertainment system. They give passengers the option to access entertainment on their personal devices by scanning the QR code. PIA should consider this at least for the Airbus a320 family, Fly jinnah are already doing that despite being a LCC.
PIA should do something like as shown in this video from minute 5:47 :

Thats very easy and cheapest solution. Any good software company can build this system for PIA. Being an IT Professional I can even build that system in couple weeksKarachi Aviator wrote: βFri Dec 23, 2022 12:58 pm Apparently AP-BLC has also been refurbished, AP-BLS is Undergoing maintenance checks and probably will be refurbished as well. I think the user interface isn't that hard to design, but the difficult part is getting the hardware as per aviation standard which can interface with the aircraft's other avionics
Make the 100% correct decision 100% of the time.

Fly Jinnah are already doing this, and even if the project can't be made in Pakistan, many foreign companies will be willing to make a good software and IFE system. It's a much better option than handing out tablets to passengers. In-flight streaming option on personal devices, a decent in-flight Internet with in-flight power system to charge devices will be improve PIA's on board product a lot. At least, for the a320s, this should be implemented. Only one a320 is regularly grounded, AP-BLT which is sacrificed for availability of parts, otherwise the whole a320 fleet looks good.MikeTangoKiloAlpha wrote: βTue Dec 27, 2022 9:45 am I think the user interface isn't that hard to design, but the difficult part is getting the hardware as per aviation standard which can interface with the aircraft's other avionics

2 airbus a320 have been refurbished whereas 5 more will be refurbished by march according to Khwaja Saad Rafique.
777-200LR's will be refurbished first as they perform flights to Toronto.

Re: PIA to Refurbish Passenger Cabin of Airbus A320 and Boeing 777 Aircraft With New Seats

Today, Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique at a press conference informed that there are 14 Airbus A320 aircraft in PIA fleet.
Seven Airbus A320 aircraft needed new passenger seats. Two of these aircraft have been equipped with new seats. New seats installation process in other five aircraft to be completed by the end of March this year. Completely new seats are being installed in these A320s.
Installation of new seats and in-flight entertainment system in PIA Boeing 777 aircraft fleet will take about eight months. PIA Boeing 777s have obsolete in-flight entertainment system.
Work to start with installation of new Business Class and Economy Class seats in two Boeing 777-200LR aircraft performing long haul flights between Pakistan and Toronto. Passenger cabin of these aircraft will be refurbished completely.
