75 Years (1947-2022) of Pakistan Independence Logo Expected to Appear on Pakistani Airlines Aircraft

Today, 75 years (1947-2022) of Pakistan Independence - Diamond Jubilee official logo was unveiled.

This logo is expected to appear on the aircraft of PIA and other Pakistani airlines.

A logo specially designed to celebrate Pakistan's 50 years of independence in 1997 was also sported by all PIA aircraft. Each PIA aircraft was also given name of a Pakistani city or landmark and this name was painted below that logo. The aircraft name was painted in Urdu on starboard side and in English on port side of the aircraft. In this photo you can see the specially designed logo displayed below flight deck windows of PIA Airbus A300 aircraft registration AP-BBA. Below this logo in Urdu script is the name "City of Nawab Shah" given to AP-BBA.

Very unimpressive.

Like everything else in PIA, this sticker is also low quality product.

Maybe a large 75 YEARS OF PAKISTAN should have been painted on the aircraft.

This small sticker is hardly noticable.

PIA is being run by any other state owned organization like National Bank or Pakistan Railways.

Only difference is that PIA competes against world class airlines like Emirates, Qatar and Turkish.

PIA long haul fleet of 777s are old and will not be able to compete with Virgin 787s or the other airlines that operate to UK, Europe and the US.

PIA needs to shape up or shut down.
