Lynx Helicopters Available for Sale

Directorate General Defence Purchase (DGDP), Pakistan, - dgdp.gov.pk - advertisement in today's (October 31) newspaper for the sale of three Lynx helicopters along with spares on "as is where is" basis.

Most likely these are Pakistan Navy Westland Lynx Mk.3 helicopters. Induction of three former Royal Navy Lynx in Pakistan Navy began in September 1994 and these three helicopters formed Pakistan Navy No. 222 "Stingrays" squadron for surveillance, anti-ship, Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Search and Rescue (SAR) missions. The helicopters were based at PNS Mehran Naval Air Station in Karachi.

These will most probably go as junk/scrap, yet the ad could have been a bit more professional, specifiying the exact model/version of the helicopters and their status e.g airworthy or not and so. The ad also does not mention, where the 'stores' can be inspected.
