I wonder how much quieter is the ATR-42 compared to Fokker F-27? Also there seems to be less vibration?
Should be so, as the technology is more recent.

In Gilgit take-off video, from 1:05 to 1:07, is that structure (in grey colour) underconstruction extension of Gilgit Airport terminal building ? The structure in white colour appears to be old terminal building with ATC currently in use.

Pakistan CAA announced expansion of Gilgit Airport sometime ago.

There was some construction going on there, so yes, it may be the new terminal building going up!
