Hey guys. Been a long time off here!
As I am recently starting Flight Simulator 2004 again, I am getting a problem in regard to the ILS approach. About 10-15 miles out from the runway, I will have the approach set-up and the Glideslope "bug" started to move. Once in the centre, I click the "NAV" button and the aircraft turns into the specific course direction.
NOW! It will continue to do this. However, the "ALT" button will not switch off automatically. Even 5 miles from the runway, the heading will be emmaculate however the alltitude will remain the same. Could anyone help me here. Will be very grateful for any aid.
Kindest Regards.
Arslaan (:

Re: ILS Problem
Arslaan, as you intercept the ILS glide slope, you need to switch to APP on auto pilot console and ensure you have set the ILS freq on NAV1 and course of the approaching runway and you will go down the runway smoothly but do control the approach speed

Re: ILS Problem
One more thing to take care off. Watch you speed during ILS approach. If its lower than usual, the aircraft will not descend. I have seen this problem happening frequently with B773.
