Nice artwork for the reconditioned livery, who is releasing this livery in 1:400 scale, DW, PHX, GJ ???
How come "Pakistan in Urdu" and Aircraft registration number besides left rear door is in pail green color Vs rest of the airplane in darker shade of green?

The reg and the titles in pale green are wrong, I hope they fix that before the production run. The model is being released by Phoenix, who make an excellent 777. Some pictures of Phoenix 777s in my collection to give you an idea of what to expect in terms of quality:
The model costs about $35 plus shipping.

Re: May 2010 New Release: Pakistan International Airlines 77
Phoenix models releasing any time soon but did not expect this to be announced on the forums just yet.
Many thanks to the photographers on here who took top notch photos of AP-BGK. That was the only reason of this being released very quickly. Just 1 month after the real aircraft has been painted.
If this sells well expect other PIA soon including AP-BHX and AP-BID. Only if this sells well. Im sure it will.

Re: May 2010 New Release: Pakistan International Airlines 77
I doubt it will sell at all. Very limited field out there that collect PIA really. It hasnt got the hype.
The SV 777 also didnt have the same colour as the Jet-X range of Saudis, the PHX one is far too orangy whereas the Jet-X ones are quite pale. Pass.

The artwork and the model will differ. Do not judge by looking at the artwork. Wait until the actual model comes out.

When one pays almost £30 (Rs. 3674.22/-, ~$45 USD) for a small 1/400 scale model you think you would like to get your moneys worth.
I have to admit PHX does now have one of the most accurate moulds of the B777 so regardless of the colours the aircraft would be quite rightly sized.

Re: May 2010 New Release: Pakistan International Airlines 77
Actually PHX mould does have one of distinct error, raked wing tips are totally off in shape compared to real ones. DW B77W's raked wing tips are bang on the money but there nose is quite pointed also.....
I would buy revised PIA livery models of B777s and B747s whenever they will come out but will not jump to get first releases as i did when PHX brought PIA's B77W out in market as i ended up paying $60 for one model!!....

I don't think PHX will do a second run of these models because the first run will not be total sellouts. The only airlines PHX has done additional runs of are EK and SIA as there is a very high demand for those airlines.

Well the 1:200 scale PIA 773ER by Hogan should be released sometime this year.
