Pakistan's first flight simulation magazine

Post by VirtualPIA »

Hello everyone,

Virtual Pakistan International Airlines is extremely honored to bring you the first ever Pakistani flight simulation magazine - "The Flight Deck".

The concept of VPIA member Adnan Sajid (PIA10283), has been turned to reality by numerous aviation enthusiasts, photographers, flight sim developers and others - including, as always, Mr. Abbas Ali, in addition to Capt. Johnny Sadiq, Saad Asad Cheema (forum member airblue) and Sameer Haqqi (forum member connieman). Our thanks to all our contributors for their selfless contributions for the development of Pakistani aviation and flight simulation.

Following in the foot steps of PIA: A first for Pakistan Flight Simulation:

The Flight Deck remarks a milestone in the history of VPIA - a true testament of our intentions - as we set off on an exciting journey to bring more and more exciting changes to the only Pakistan based virtual airline, including

* Special F1 tour flights
* At least 2 events held each month
* VPIA flight academy

*Simulating the ENTIRE PIA fleet: 747-367, 747-217BM SCD, 777-340, 777-240ER/LR, A310, B737 and ATR
*Starting VPIA heritage which will simulate the HISTORICAL PIA fleet, Fokker F27, Super Constellation, Twin Otter, Convair CV 240, Vickers Viscount 815, Trident, MCDONNEL DOUGLAS DC-10, BOEING 707 and BOEING 720B and more.
*Full scale Hajj Operations using 747,777 and 310, to Jeddah, Madinah and Yenbu
*Separate Cargo division: VPIA SpeedEx operating special flights, including relief flights to Haiti

You can log on to http://www.vpia.org to catch the first issue - we hope you enjoy it, and a huge note of thanks to all our contributors, without whom VPIA would not be where it is today.

Thankyou!

My pleasure Ahmed, it was great to work with you and looking forward to working more with you IA.

Guys the Connie Ahmed mentioned is Trans Canada Airlines (TCA) ex-CF-TGE aircraft fin# 405, this aircraft has real fascinating story and a real saga it went through after retiring from active TCA's service behind it. I'm sure guys among us who like preserving historical artifacts will love it and others will like to read what it took to finally preserve TGE in a world class museum. My rc model of S Connie is connected to this story also, hence why i built it on first place.
