If you want to fly the plane manually then use the trim to ease the pressure for you. If you dont use the trim, you'll be fighting the controls with little progress.

If you want to fly using auto-pilot, then just select the altitude & heading you want.

what type of plane are you reffering to? Single engine, or multi-engine trubo-props or jet liners?

If you look at the control panel, it's not so hard to fly. The place where it says alt is where you can select your alt and activiate the switch once done so.

hdg=heading.
alt=altitude.
spd=speed.

select all of these prior to take off and then press the switches. Once you have taken off the the master autopilot switch button located on the far left to activate the desired speed heading & altitude. If you can post a pic of the 737-400 cockpit, i can guide you through it, however dont try to fly manually or even taxi the plane unless you have a control yoke and rudder pedals for your flight simulator.

Just select the desired runway and the Flight sim will place you there directly.

Last evening, i was on command of virtual flight PK 206 Kuwait-Lahore, while flying over Iran with Tehran center i requested for FL350 rather than flying on assigned FL290 for better fuel consumption. As i reach FL350, did some "panga" on autopilot console and got the A310 out of control, stalled, rolling over and over and diving with more than 500 kts and finally got crashed :oops: tried to recover it from stall but to no avail :( and got so sad at this tragic loss of virtual PK 206 that i have had to shut down my FS and PC as well :evil:
