Never seen something like this before. Body of an A380, winglet of B747-800, nose of a B787 & tail similar to the BAe146.
Not quite sure what she is.. hmm

The orbital speed of the Earth around the Sun averages about 30 km/s or 18 mps (108,000 km/h or 67000 mph).
Which means we're travelling 97 times the speed of sound. And yet we can't feel the motion, SubhanAllah

It's a joint project by Boeing & Airbus to make a plane consisting of both companies technologycpt_747 wrote:Never seen something like this before. Body of an A380, winglet of B747-800, nose of a B787 & tail similar to the BAe146.

But you're absolotely right. Those were my thoughts exactly. The E-474 does indeed have the nose of a B787 and the body of an A380 with B747-400 winglets.
To clarify this is a fictional plane featured in the movie "flightplan" starring Joddie Foster.
I have no doubt in my mind if a plane of this design were to be produced it would fly as smoothly as any other airliner as I see no errors in the design.
I'm surprised the filmakers didn't market models for this plane. They could make a huge profit from it.
A model of this plane is a must have for Aviation enthusiasts like me.

In reality, Airbus in 1990's tried very hard to convince either McDonnell Douglas and Boeing separately to make A3XX a joint project like 50-50 split/partnership.cpt_747 wrote:Never seen something like this before. Body of an A380, winglet of B747-800, nose of a B787 & tail similar to the BAe146.

McDonnell Douglas which was in dire financial trouble at the time, was not sure if such huge project would work out even as a partnership.
Boeing just dismissed it saying market conditions are not right for anything of size of A3XX.
