The New OPKC (the end of 2008)

Post by msarmadk »

There is a new scenery coming for Jinnah international and Faisal base in Karachi. I am planning to do ground textures with flytampa quality and LOD models for buildings so the frames are even better. I am going to use the Jinnah terminal and enhance it and I will also complete all the airport buildings. I haven't decided yet, if the scenery will be payware or freeware. If you guys really wanna help me, contact me on: mskhan1991@hotmail.com

The completion of this scenery is expected to be "the end of 2008" but still this date is not confirmed and the scenery may take even longer and it hasn't been decided if the scenery is going to be FSX compatible or not, until now, I only have plans for FS2004.

If there are any comments and questions please contact me on these forums. I will be very happy to serve you.

Until then, you guys can wait for Ali Mujtaba's OPKC payware version for FS2004 and FSX.

Best Regards,
Sarmad.

hi sarmad,
i am also using your latest version of OPKC and really enjoying especially the Isphani hanger.
Few things I would like to see in coming releases, one gate docking, ie the AGNIS (Azimuth guidance for nose in stans) ans SGS (stopping guidance system), and also the the ramp texture as seen for above looks great but when taxing from cockpit, they are too blured. May be it requires good grapic card. not sure about.
Anyways you are doing a very great job for betterment of Pakistani simulation. We surely need more people like you to take Pakistani Flight simulation to its height.
Once again thank you very much.

msarmadkhan, your latest OPKC is fantastic! i'm using your latest scenery and i really enjoy it.
someone released a 1960 scenery of karachi airport.

I've copied the old terminal from that scenery to the scenery of msarmadkhan. and it looks great.

I'll make pics and if i can have your permission msarmdkhan then I'll would like to release that modified scenery with old terminal.

Great NEWS guys,

I recently got an e-mail from aerosoft telling me that it will support my scenery when it is released and most chances are of it being payware but not for you guys. Rest information is confidential and can not be displayed in public, can't even forward you.

So better be ready for those animated Jetways and Vehicles.... :D

@ arifm

You are free to release the update anytime you wish.

I will start working on the new OPKC after this year's spring break. I hope you guys like it. Previews won't be available until Final Beta testing stage (i.e, AES support stage). If there are any suggestions or comments or anything special that you would like to see in this scenery then just e-mail me on: mskhan1991@hotmail.com

I would love to add the stuff you want. And also if anyone can provide me the pictures of the Hangar area and other areas than terminal then it would be great. Also, it would help me if anyone can provide me the pictures for apron and taxiways because I want everything to be accurate.

Sarmad.

salaam sarmad bhai,

i'll will release the update soon.
and i was planning to enhance Islamabad Airport as quick as possible. and release that to all fs fans here who fly to/from islamabad airport.

i want to update it's ground terrain. i know you did the taxiways partially for OPKC from google earth. did you do that with FS2004 SDK kit ? If so then it is alright and i'll read the readme by myself.

Btw, there is a region in the scenery by the old terminal.... i think that side can have little more detail and the general aviation side.
