Dear AN
It is good to have a positive discussion and finally every body is realizing that there is no point arguing for things which are not in one’s hands and accusing each other.
As for seniority is concern and please correct me if I am wrong it was captain Asif and later captain Munoo who messed up the criteria of seniority, they both did some good to FLT OPS but with the same token damaged a great deal as well.

Veeone, i dont think anything nice done by these DFO. The best DFO ever in PIA were, Late Captain Chughtai and then Capt Saleem ul Haq. Later on was Capt Zaman and Captain Kamal. They were the best DFOs. And did alot for the company and the community. Rest they just came and destroyed everything. Worst were Dara and Asif Raza.
Si nce i can recall till 1996, seniority was based on date of joining and age. Technical exams had nothing to do, because people would get the papers before hand. They were new joiners bribing instructors and visiting their residence to get them highest marks.
Now i dont know since when they came up with new seniority procedure. I personally do not agree on it because PIA induction process is just an eye wash. Nothing goes by merit in this airline. The safarish culture is part of our system.

Oh ofcourse, I agree on that; but my only point was that if a DFO is weak, then he is bound to be categorized as incompetent too....INSIDER wrote:Airborne, The DFOs are not rated for inducting pilots. You have to see overall performance as a DFO. In 1996, Capt Zaman was nothing. It was Aijaz Haroon and FE Jamote. It was during the benzair tenure and major corruption took place.
No doubt Capt Chughtai and Capt Saleem ul HAQ were the best DFO.

There is no doubt that the legendery CAPT M.T.BAIG,and then the honourable CAPT.SALHUDDIN CHUGHTAI were the most popular and best DFOs of thier times but one of the most learned and a very good administrator was CAPT. MIAN AZIZ.There were two DFOs who were very very impressive and when they used to speak in the morning briefings ,there used to be pindrop silence and no one could dare speak and they used to roar like lions, one CAPT MIAN AZIZ and the other was CAPT. KAMAL.

If I'm not mistaken, that was Capt Shujah, the DFO in 1995 selection.Airborne74 wrote:Sir jee, I don't know about other good captains, but I can tell you that it was Capt. Zaman who selected the most incompetent batch of 74 in 1996.

Nope sir you are very much mistaken, it was indeed Capt. Zaman the DFO in 1995. I myself got interviewed by him and others during 1995.chevron wrote:If I'm not mistaken, that was Capt Shujah, the DFO in 1995 selection.Airborne74 wrote:Sir jee, I don't know about other good captains, but I can tell you that it was Capt. AN, my only question to you, if you have provided so-called facts and have asked questions, then what was the rationale of deleting all of them from this topic; I mean, you should have left them on the record unless and until you have decided yourself to backtrack and look for an easy exit.AN wrote:facts have been provided
and questions asked
but people refuse to answer them and avoid all my questions
you can PM me when you have found out the answers to what I have asked
and the truth
Dude, earlier you edited all of your comments made on the topic "batch of 79 pilots" and now you have done the same in your own topic.

DEAR AN
I really thought some sense would prevail and you would act like mature adults but probably I was mistaken.
In your PM you say I am jealous of you and your buddy Usman Ch, DEAR AN think again a refreshing thought about your best friend and the treatment he got from his colleagues if you are honest please share his story with all forum members about the (WARM) reception of MR CH by his batch mates (He is another opportunist like your self and got the beating, what he actually deserved, one thing is for sure He would never bully any body in his life time) and as far as your self is concern I should rather ask you this question after what happened to you in this forum should I relay be jealous of you.

Your own quotation about the devil gives you the perfect answer to your last post.mohammed younis wrote:what is the point everyone!!!
everyone is entitiled to the opinion but can we not keep to the aviation side of it, rather than each other!
And AN, whats your strategy man?? You say something contraversial, heat up the topic, then delete all your previous posts and send people PMs passing silly statements.....I am now fully convinced that you are indeed becoming an embarrassment for the pilot community.
