It is interesting to see the strobes light from Boeing and Airbus flashes differently. Boeing planes have one strobe light at the middle section of the wing which flashes only once. Airbus planes seem to have two, one at the front of the wing and at the end of the wing, the front one flashes twice, while the back one flashes only once.
Once I was travelling with THAI's A330, and while we waited on the runway for take off, I was waiting for the strobe to flash, but it didnt!! which was quite surprising, but the moment we took off the strobe light started flashing. I have also seen this happening once with PIA 310-300.
