What do you mean with "peela carad"? What is it and what if you don't have it?

This "Peela Carad" is literally a yellow card that has the polio vaccine batch number and the date on which it was administered. Its easily available in public hospitals and airports.

If you don't have it and are traveling abroad, just reconfirm if the country you are landing in requires it. If it does, you have to get one made. =;

In the last 2 weeks I have travelled from KHI on Qatar Airways to Turkey via DOH and today on Emirates to UK via DXB.
I was not asked for the polio certificate.
Apparently some destinations may require it, do look online for entry information of the country you are travelling to.

Provision of Polio Vaccination Certificate

As informed by the Egyptian Authorities, passengers travelling to Egypt from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Malawi, Mozambique and Congo are requested to provide an international certificate of vaccination specifically polio vaccine, OPV or IPV (both are acceptable).

Further, foreigners who have stayed more than 04 weeks in above-mentioned Countries should also have polio vaccination in order to travel to Egypt.

This is not new. I have been stationed in Cairo for almost three years now. A polio certificate was always required. Not only that but for a new visa, a dengue negative test is also required. Previously, the old version of the polio certificate, the yellow one, was acceptable, but now it has to be a NADRA-issued one, similar to the COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

I recently travelled from Karachi to Dammam via PIA, and no one asked for the polio certificate, either at Karachi or Dammam airport.
