This revenue should be used to build a new airport for Lahore, and the current airport site could also be used for redevelopment.

I do agree, i think the airport should really be out of the city like the new Islamabad airport is. Building housing schemes right next to the airport and runway is not really a good idea!

Probably portion of revenue/earnings from Walton Central Business District (CBD) to be given to Pakistan CAA for the construction of a new General Aviation Aerodrome on the outskirts of Lahore and shifting of flight schools/flying clubs from Walton to the new aerodrome.

Lahore is now the world most polluted city. Its simply a place not to live anymore. The microscopic particles measure called as particulate rating is 423 , which is way of the charts. Meaning, in every breath people of Lahore are absorbing these dangerous particles into their lungs.

The point is. Walton airport land conversion to commercial will just add more pollution & greenhouse gases. If it is fully covered with trees it will absorb some of those deadly particles of Lahore atmosphere. Now, they plan to build Lahore Ravi project. I think someone who is just normal (not environmental crazy) and knows somewhat about environmental pollution hazard, will & should avoid living or working in Lahore. Lahore used to be city of gardens now one its an environmental mess with more environmental mess to come.
