ATR 72-200, (registration F-WWLI) sporting PIA logo sticker visited Pakistan in 1994 to fly demonstration flights for PIA. At that time ATR 72 was considered as possible replacement for airline's Fokker F-27 fleet. But, somehow, plan to replace PIA F-27 fleet with new aircraft type was postponed in 1990s.
