For the first time saw AP-OOI on PTV Khabarnama and as forum member H Khan already has stated, the A310 sports livery very similar to current PIA livery. Just like PIA, there's wavy Pakistan flag on all-white tail. Fuselage is all white with diagonal dark green band (exactly like PIA livery). Dark green 'Pakistan' titles in English and Urdu are on forward section of fuselage above cabin window line.
Today (March 27, 2007) AP-OOI flew as 'Pakistan One' from Islamabad to Riyadh with President Pervez Musharraf onboard.

Thank you Abbas for info. The ex-Qatari A7-AAF was already delivered in all white paint. Is it not a cheapest way to paint/paste the decals of Pak Flag on tail, and Pakistan titles on the front fuselage instead of re-painting itAbbas Ali wrote:For the first time saw AP-OOI on PTV Khabarnama and as forum member H Khan already has stated, the A310 sports livery very similar to current PIA livery. Actually the rear part of the fuselage looks kind of beige in the pic.
The 'Pakistan' font should have been similar to what was first introduced on PIA's first 772ER in that pic we saw of the a/c at Seattle. Block letters would have looked better than this ex-PIA font.
Also the flag should not have been wavy. As it is, that flag looks too frivolous and commercial. It should be straight but at a slant, similar to what Aeroflot and CAAC had on the tails of their a/c in the past. That or the whole tail in dark green with a simple crescent and star in the center.

I agree. In my opinion, flag should be straight just like they have on Pakistan Air Force aircraft.Moin wrote:Also the flag should not have been wavy. As I said in my earlier post, fuselage and tail of the aircraft are white, there's no beige colour on any part of the aircraft. Here's latest photo of AP-OOI taken at Indian Air Force Station Palam in New Delhi on April 2, 2007.Moin wrote:Actually the rear part of the fuselage looks kind of beige in the pic.

why ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN / اسلامی جمھوریہ پاکستان is not painted on OOI and just a word Pakistan / پاکستان?

White Lies
Once the Presidency and PM House would boast of one vintage Rolls Royce and a handful of Mercs, given by rich and brotherly countries. Now the gifts are more up market. When our VVIP establishment unwrapped a gift package recently, it proved to be a vintage aircraft sent by an airline of a brotherly country. The friendship was instantly sealed with this foreign airline getting the go-ahead to operate five routes in Pakistan.
The 1989 model Airbus has since proved its use especially during the PM's recent visit to China. It is also a classy addition to the fleet of aircraft now exclusively in VVIP use. Once the new orders are in, the VVIP aircraft pool could touch the astounding number of 21. Such progress and development, the hallmark of a civil society.
