No Mention Of 777-340ER On PIA Website
It has been over a month since the induction of the 777-340ER in PIA, and yet there is no mention of this on the official PIA website.
Shocking, considering its landmark time that PIA is the first airline to operate all three types of 777s, the 200ER, 300ER and 200LR.
Rather then flashing this news on the opening page, PIA has choosen to completely ignor it.
I think the people running the PIA website should be fired.

Yes I agree with you 100 % Amaad Lone
as also stated on the Boeing website, nice to know Boeing are proud of PIA's Cultural Schemes.
PIA is one of the first airlines to have ordered and taken delivery of three variants of Boeing's highly successful 777 family, and the airline was the launch customer for the 777-200LR (Longer Range). PIA currently has three 777-200ERs and two 777-200LRs in operation and will take delivery in February of a second 777-300ER, as well as an additional 777-200ER on lease from ILFC.
PIA's first 777-300ER incorporates a unique tail schematic that is representative of the Sind southern province of Pakistan, with Karachi being the provincial capital. The airline has outfitted its 777-200LRs with similar tail designs representing other major Pakistan provinces.
"PIA is a very important Boeing customer and it's rewarding to see the airline receive its first 777-300ER," said Miguel Santos, Boeing Commercial Airplanes international sales director. "We're proud to see the beautiful tail designs representing Pakistan's major provinces all flying on Boeing 777s."

PK doesnt operate all types of 777.Amaad Lone wrote: Shocking, considering its landmark time that PIA is the first airline to operate all three types of 777s, the 200ER, 300ER and 200LR.
There is the 777-200, 777-300 and the 777-200F (the latter which PK cant afford).
Emirates will eventually be the only airline in the world to operate ever single 777 model (all 6).

Talking about the varients currently in production and as far as I know 777F is net yet delivered to any airline so it makes PIA to use all the current (in production) varients of 777 family.BOEING777 wrote:PK doesnt operate all types of 777.Amaad Lone wrote: Shocking, considering its landmark time that PIA is the first airline to operate all three types of 777s, the 200ER, 300ER and 200LR.

Emirates will be the only airline to use all the varients of 777 once its freighter version also comes into service by Boeing company and is delivered to them.

I think he meant the 777-200 and 300 non ER versions. I don't know whether they are considered as a separate type altogether or not.

Quote from Boeing's Website:
But still I'm confused if 777(simple) and 777ER are taken as different varients
According to Boeing website, 777 is available in six types and so Boeing777 you are right! The 777 currently is available in six models: 777-200, 777-200ER (extended range), 777-200LR (longer-range), 777-300 and the 777-300ER, and the 777 Freighter.
But still I'm confused if 777(simple) and 777ER are taken as different varients

The idea of the message is that PIA needs to list an achievement on its website, which in this case is the induction of the 777-300ER.
The news should have been flashing on the PIA website the day this type was delivered, yet a month later, no news.

The following text is from Boeing's press release of PIA's second Boeing 777-200LR (March 24, 2006):
Source: PIA Adds 2nd Boeing 777-200LR (Longer Range) to Fleet
According to this Boeing only considers 777-200ER, 777-200LR, and 777-300ER as part of the 777 family. So, PIA is the first airline to fly the entire 777 family. However, Emirates will be the first airline to fly every single variant of the 777 program.Later this year, PIA will take delivery of its first 777-300ER, making it the first airline in the world to operate the entire Boeing 777 family.

Wrong again.
The reference the Boeing news release is in relation to the fact that PIA is the only operator of the 3 -ER / -LRvariants of the 777.
That same link goes on:

So to discount the 777-200 and 777-300 is wrong. The 777-200LR is the fifth and newest member of the market-leading 777 airplane family.

Well the average pakistani does not know that billions of rupees paid by all Pakistani's goes to keeping PIA aloft. I mean this is inexcusable, that PIA buys planes costing nearly $200 million and they dont even bother to mention it. I would understand if it was Emirates, but remember PIA does have an image problem especially with regards to its fleet. Therefore it is necessary to announce every new aircraft induction.PK777

Do you really think the average Pakistani is gonna care?
What the hell are the people responsible for the web site being paid for?
