New Release: GJ Pakistan Intl Airbus A310-308 - Peshawar

Post by PK777 »

Looks like GJ has copied the recent BlueBox release by doing the exact PIA Airbus A310-308 livery. Also, the "the" titles are missing..

Im annoyed that GJ is doing this! Why didnt they do the flag livery instead?!! Or some other tail?! Grrrr...

GJ has the best A310 mould and inspite of the urdu text error, which one would you choose, this or the BB? I certainly know my answer.

Lets leave it to Samee to get to GJ on this one, he's the official PIA 1/400 spokesperson and hopefully it can be corrected in time. Either way, heres an example of a quality model which I need not bother telling Samee to buy because I know he will, even if it retains the flaw. Its not just some crap toy plane with 'PIA' scrawled over it which would make it a must have. My BB version will certainly be making way for this one.

Isn't 'the' also missing from the actual a/c?

Thanks moin, I will buy

Well my overall opinion of this model is NICE its a good model and a better mould than the BBX. and im happy that GJ are considering doing PIA special liveries.

well PK777 i think its my fault about this being released i think. as awhile ago when the BBX PIA A310 wasnt released i requested on the GJ Forum to make this model and the Thatta tail and a guy named "Gemini Will" who works for GJ said they will consider and about 5 months later this has been made.

About the mistakes i have emailed GJ and will mention this on they forum and im sure they should correct as these photos are just sample models like the netmodels PIA B747 and do contain errors

I think you and moin should both email GJ and mention about the mistakes and missing the Destination Pakistan 2007 logo and they may listen. Hope so. Though Beige colour is a bit too dark

But now i think we may or could see another PIA A310-300 in the future maybe Thatta??? who knows?

okay i have talked about this on the GJ forum and suggested many things like other models could make like flag livery...

now when i was looking at the photo supplied by GJ for the PIA B777-200ER AP-BGJ the model also had no registration on the above upper wing surface look below.

But they sorted this out and put it on. So these photos show the sample models made

Yes im sure they will correct. I also mentioned that the Destination Pakistan 2007 logo should be on. if it is this should be a great release.

Dont worry im sure everything will fall into place

i also got a PIA B777-200ER reg AP-BGL and AP-BGK made on the GJ mould photos on another topic!!!

I recieved this reply from Gemini Jets

Hi Samee,

Thanks for the info. That's a photo of a very old sample (photo is 6 months old) and the artwork has been corrected on the production model.

Best regards,
Chris

Your first post mentions 'the' missing from the model, but I'm asking if 'the' is also missing from the actual 1:1 a/c?

Opps... sorry!

When the livery was first applied, the [the] was missing, however later the word was added to the actual aircraft. Also the "Desination Pakistan 2007" was added;

I like collecting items with visible errors (i.e., stamps, bank notes, etc). It would have been nice to have this model with the reverse Urdu logo on the tail too!

pretty nice.....
what other planes are getting the Destination Pakistan logo?
The angle of arrival is inversely proportional to the probability of survival.

I believe these samples soon appear on places like Ebay, and prices to appreciate quite sharply as on one exists!

Ok i have seen the photos of the updated model and they have added "The" titles but missed the Destination Pakistan 2007 logo never mind!

looks good. Though doesnt that urdu PIA logo near the nose of the aircraft looks small?

The tail is correct and both sides are also correct. Better than the BBX release!
