Nice looks as 1/50th scale model too me, i have 1/72 B747 models including one of PIA's model too but that one looks almost twice the size...But looking at head on picture, it looks as wings are misalingned compaired to fuselage , wonder if its just the picture or illusion in my eyes or something is wrong with model itself....

very nice model in 90s sportive livery, thanks for sharing the pics. samee380, seeing your passion for such models, i wish you could get your hands on it once it is replaced by the new one i.e. B777s
Does anyone knows which company design such models for the airlines? Any website or related info please?
Here are some of my pics that I took with cell phone while walking as I found such collection of models at a travel agency in Kuwait city.
Lufthansa B744, very next to LH is a GF A330
America West B757
Royal Brunei B767
Kuwait Airways B744
Unfortunately, I did not found any a/c model at PIA office in Kuwait hence no pic

Raihans, Nice photos!!
About your question which company designs these models?
well what i think from looking at your photos and the PIA B747 photo these models are wood models and are custom made. hence they cost alot of money. and i have had a custom model made PIA B747 mughal tail and its handpainted alongwith a PIA A310-300
so i think all these models are handpainted, wood resin models, and can be made in any size.
and i do know alot of companies who make models like these in a range of sizes they are mainly based in China...etc.
look on ebay for the names planearts, artplanes, they have made PIA's and i have them and are good models!!

these make models
these make very expensive models below link. they have made a Saudi arabian model with lights and seats in the model. look at below link

hope this helps you raihans
Connieman, do you have any photos of that PIA B747 1/72. where did you get it?

Samee,
I would have posted it long time ago if it was in shape of posting pictures, when i got it, it needed bit of work and new paint and decal job only, i was like 15-16 yres old then, so to make lonnng story short it went into wrong hands and got badly absued due to lack of knowledge how to restore a models and was also put into chemical bath!, anyhow now its in many pieces due to that and i do plans to restore it as i bought its parts from "Transport wings" in UK some 6 yrs ago.
As for PIA's model picture its not wooden model, either its heavy guage plastic injection moulded model or its FG/Resin model!, it was most likely built by one of the larges scale model manufactures in UK as that is where models of this size are usually manufactured, yes it must be very pricey model

The best PIA 747 model I've seen is at the PIA ticket office on the ground floor of JIAP Karachi. Its huge and in the 80's green/gold stripe livery. Its also very accurate as far as the mould is concerned but the wings are drooping down quite a bit.
What will be the fate of that I have no idea. I'm going to try and find out.
The former TWA office at Metropole Hotel here in Karachi also had this massive 747 model in the 70's TWA double globe livery. It also had a very accurate landing gear and one side was cutaway showing the whole interior. Then TWA folded up, the office was refurbished and became Air Canada and Ethiopian and the model dissapeared. Where is a good question. I suppose had I gone in and asked, I would have found out.
