Extreme turbulence enroute to Manchester on PK723

Post by momers »

HI,

A friend of mine just got back to NY.
She was flying PK723 ISL-KHI-MAN on the 18th Jan.

Was talking to her and she mentioned that the hour prior to landing in UK they got stuck in some extreme turbulence.

In here words, every one was praying aloud and it was as if some one held the plane in their hand and kept shaking it! And a lot of people got sick as well.

I think she mentioned that the passengers were allowed to deplane and they also got doctors on board to attend to the passengers.

Well we know it was the weather system ravaging Europe these days.

Any way, was wondering about any one else's experiences on board that flight, especially from some of the crew members. Would get a better idea of what really happened.

She did take off amidst great turbulence again! I think a lot of flights got cancelled around europe didnt they?

strange they would fly if the weather was that bad. I think Frankfurt was shut down for some time because of that extreme weather system, and they are saying that the worst is yet to come.
