Aljazeera wants to fly to Pakistan

Kuwait have requested Pakistan to allow Aljazeera Airways to operate to the country during aviation talks held between the two, PIA have sought rights to fly Kuwait-Dubai, it was reported in Dawn a few days back.

B777, Jazeera Airways is a latin name of طيران الجزيرة so i dont think it is wrong way to spell as AlJazeera Airways

BTW...if Jazeera Airways will start for pak then it can be profitable for travellers who are use to with sms and web facilities but not for labour class travellers as they are not aware of the system!

The talks were inconclusive as PIA wanted traffic rights b/w KWI and DXB and vv which in my opinion is asking for a bit much. I don't think KU or EK would look very favourably at that.

yes KU fly to LHE and ISB.

they want to start PEW asap but arent allowed to do so.

LHE and ISB feature as their # 6 and 7th most profitable destination respectively in their worldwide route network.

PIA are fools to ask for 5th freedom rights on DXB-KWI sector which they would fly twice a week on at the very most when KU and EK offer triple daily flights.

Instead, they should have asked for 5th freedom rights on KWI-Europe routes such as KWI-BCN / KWI-BRU / KWI-ZRH where 5th freedom demand though in small quantities at least exists!!!

Here they had an opportunity to allow another foreign airline into Pakistan and allow KU to operate out of yet another airport i.e. a source of encouragement for other airlines that business is welcome in Pakistan, yet they had to go and mess it up by quoting their favourite line 'not allowed' and ask for something totally absurd in return.

No wonder airlines are discouraged from coming here.
