PIA 747-300: AP-BGG Kaghan- Mountain Paradise Preview

Post by PIA10141 »

hello everyone, I have made my debut into a/c painting in fs2004. this is one of my first re-paints. this re-paint is for POSKY's PIA 747-300. So far this plane is only for MY personal use only and I cannot release it or distribute it since I do not have permission from Mr. Edward Cox (official author of the plane) whom I have contacted and will get a reply back soon. I have also made the PIA A310: AP-BGP Murree- Songs of the Pines repaint for Umair Bhai's A310 and will show pics later after I get permission from Umair Bhai to share them. For now, check out this plane on a special flight to Dubai. pics were taken when the plane was headed back for Lahore. Only some pics were available since the photographer ran out of batteries on this fall evening.... No description, make em up your-self along the way.

WILL DO A FLIGHT FROM KARACHI TO LAHORE AND PROVIDE A SOMEWHAT GOOD VIDEO OF IT!

I know there are professional painter here who might think this is not that great (even I think I didn't get the best results) but hey, it's my first try! something is better than nothing.... so enjoy and criticism is most welcome!!!

P.S. Picks quality is pretty bad since I used FRAPs to take pics (not a great idea) but will take shots the manual way and share them, maybe they might looks better and sharper???

On your video card, try making the AA settings or AntiAliasing to 4X (or more). You will take a hit to your FPS but do it just to take photos. When you take them from Fraps, make sure it saves them as BMP or PNG so there is no loss. You can then save those from PS into JPG and control the quality.
Other than that, its looking nice. Look at that 737 in #4 At that point, MS should just put out a paper plane in its place.

Mohsin, as I mentioned that you’ve done a stupendous effort…now when you’ve prompted me to have a closer look at it…a few minor bugs I have spotted in your repaint…dat can be easily taken care of:

1. The right tail is having Urdu PIA titles horizontally inverted…switch them over from the vertical axis to make them read correctly, also make sure that PIA titles on the tail are right in the middle!

2. I can’t notice the Pakistan Flag on the rear-right fuselage…and the left fuselage has Pakistan flag immediately after the door…Although that’s where Mr. Edward Cox placed the flag in his original paintwork, yet I prefer placing the flag in middle of the beginning spot of the wing and the door. Also lighten up the white strip of Pakistani flag.

3. Reduce size of the figure adjacent to “Kaghan”, it seems a bit larger.

And by the way nice embedding of an A310 tail on that of a B747!
