This great news, thanks for bringing it up.
Looks like AP-BAK will getting rest pretty soon, i hope it gets preserved and rested at PAF Museum!, there are few already preserved B742 and B741 around the globe, it dosen't feels as these birds have already become classics but when you count the number of years they have served, its amazing!, i know Saudia was suppose to donate one of their retired L1011-200 to RSAF Museum, but not sure if it happened or not.
B773 would look awsome once its in service, as for PIA getting B748s, i don't know about that, but more likely they could seems to go for B787 though!, B748 would still keep history alive as PIA used B747s for so long....

Knowing PIA and their current financial constraints, BAK and BAT will most probably end up with some sub-saharan african airline either as they are or as freighters. I can hardly see PIA 'donating' an a/c to some museum when they know they could get at least something for it if sold off.
This is quite a surprise seeing the 773ER completed already but what I don't understand is if the first 2 a/c are coming within a gap of 2 months, why is the third one being delivered so late? I agree it should have been named Karachi or some other major city but as one of the 743's is already called Karachi, that should be an indication that the 743's may be around for a while now, especially after they're spending a substantial amount on getting them 'EU compliant'.
Amaad is right in that the Urdu 'PIA' should go on the engines. Those huge engines are the hallmark of this a/c and many airlines have placed their logos or insignias on them and PIA should not be an exception.
Ok Dragon Wings, here is your next prospective model subject!

Both have the same name, Thar.
In service since July 1979, this jumbo has served PIA for a good 27+ years, and I guess its time to go
