And the third 300ER is supposed to be delivered in 2008 I heard? That a bit way off isn't it? Why such a long gap in between?
Also anything further on that rumour of PIA getting a few of SIA's 773ER's in exchange for its 200LR's? It was mentioned here sometime back but most dismissed it as a rumour, whereas while I was in London, Mohd Ali (Aer Pak) told me its not a rumour and my friend in PIA Engineering also confirmed it to me the other day, that they are discussing it with SIA as the sole purpose of the LR's (nonstop flights to the USA) was not able to be fulfilled and hence they do not have any real use for them. It would be nice if PIA could get at least 3 more 300ER's as that way they can retire the 743 fleet.
BTW I did ask him again to please chaeck out this site and join it which he said he would but as he's been very busy at work, he hasn't had time. Alot of people from engineering have run off to EK, EY and QR and there is a bit of a brain drain.

Is this image copyright to Boeing like the 1990s one released with most Boeing/PIA press release?Abbas Ali wrote:samee380 wrote:does anybody have a photo of how the PIA 777-300 will look like?
From top to bottom: Boeing 777-240ER, Boeing 777-240LR and Boeing 777-340ER. The Boeing 777-340ER clearly has longer fuselage - Photo from Aroosh Naqvi collection
