PIA starts Boeing 737 flights between Lahore and Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR, July 19 (APP): PIA has started Boeing 737-300 flights from Bahawalpur to Lahore instead of Fokker flights.

According to District Manager PIA Bahawalpur, flights between the two cities would operate on Friday and Sunday in a week.

Good news and bad news. It sounds like the daily afternoon Fokker service has been replaced with a twice weekly Boeing service.

What does this mean for other 737 operated routes, does it mean their frequency has been reduced.

I imagine there is a good bit of scrambling going on to try and provide service to as many of the affected cities as possible. BHV is isolated as it is, and the daily F-27 from ISB via LHE was frequently sold out.
