RAHIM YAR KHAN: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has revised the schedule of its flights due to grounding of its Fokker planes.
Local PIA office said on Friday that a Boeing 737 plane would now arrive in Rahim Yar Khan from Karachi after a stopover at Sukkur on Saturdays, Mondays and Thursdays, while the same flight will leave for Lahore and Islamabad to return to Karachi via same route.
The PIA administration said that the flights from RYK on Wednesdays have been closed.
The ageing Fokker planes had flown on the Peshawar-Chitral route for years. No flights took place on Thursday and Friday after a federal cabinet decision to stop flying passengers on PIA Fokker planes.
