Ask your maintenance guys to install afterburners on the engines, and put some sidewinders as well. Dont forget to take O2 bottles with you (just in case you might need it at higher altitudes)

Dont also forget the countermesure system!!!

More seriously I read an article over an Il-76. It was doing a flight to Baghdad. There is a special "itinery" for an approche there. The aircraft have to come very high and then when it is over the airport it have to make circles to descent and then a tightened turn onto the runway for landing.

Im not pilot but wish to be in the future!

12 Corps Quetta informs "That some miscreants are in possession of stinger missile might attempt to attack flights during landing and takeoff .and crew should take extra precautionary measures"

Well not the crew but 12 corps and local administration should take the precautions :D
There is not much the poor crew can do against a stringer with 5 plus km range.
There has been a debate in the US mil about the cockscrew approach. Some say that it exposes the ac for a much longer period to the hostile missile will making a circling decent over the airfield.
The only solution is to sensitize the area around the airfield. In case of Quetta its one side is taken care of because of PAF BAse. We can assume lesser threat on the extended centreline of 13 as it is a populated city. That leaves us with undershoot 13 and area left of the field while approaching from 13 direction to take care of.
I would again say that the best way is to have a better surveillance and intelligence by law enforcement agencies unless offcourse you have IR sensors and flares on board. El Al (Isreal flag carrier) had these installed after a missile attack on one of their aircraft at Nairobi (if I recall correctly) few years back.
GOOD LUCK and FLY SAFE

By the way why did you address the question to airforce pilots only. You can get expert advice fro elsewhere as well

The air force pilots are trained to cater for this kind of thing we the civilian pilots are not and as we are ruled by them and this threat is due to them so they the so called experts of every thing should have a answer .
