I have the Pakistan Intl Sovereign B743 model. I like it and also its the only 1/400 scale B747 model produced at the moment. Also, the mould used is from Gemini Jets. The only thing i found wrong with it was it had no wing probes.

About the Skymarks they should not have put the provincial tail on the model, it would have looked more accurate with the flag and a regestration. Oh well....maybe Gemini Jets will do a more accurate job of the B772LR..

Aeroclassics also did AYV and BAK in the 80's colors. I sent Samee an e-bay link to them. Available for $35 each.

I didn't like the Sovereign model one bit. The engine mountings were too crude for my liking. Had it been made by AC, it would have been a different matter.

Don't even contemplate Schabak, they're crap! Besides I heard they're going out of business, which doesn't surprise me.

Hey Moin....they already are !! They have been over taken by Schoco ( same company that had a partnership with Gemini Jets back in 01 ) they will rebrand the company and produce some better quality models.

Yep, the AeroClassics PIA B747s .... well actually Big Bird mould originally (AC just uses their moulds) are superb bought both. Maybe they can do one in the Pashmina tail...now that would be a treat or the 1990s B747s that I showed you.

Wait your reply on that

It would be interesting to see what they say (even though im expecting much from them on this - do they really care about selling models to us enthusiasts ? ). As they did give GJ a license to do the B772ER i guess there is a chance for them to do the provincial schemes to promote the liveries or many some older liveries :-k

i also replied to skymarks official website about making pia aircraft models maybe if you also want to email them and anybody else they may listen. its www.skymarksmodels.com

the more people ask about airline models the more chance of them listening

also try this one http://www.airspotters.com/new_page_43.htm again ive emailed them havent heard from them yet.

so if anyone has freetime try and email these suppliers and persuade them to make aircraft models of PIA.

The thing is, the issue is of licensing. In order for any airline model to be made the manufacturer has to get the correct licensing from the airline to produce any aircraft of their airline. As the aircraft manufacturer is going to be using coporate logos and colours of the airline the airline has to give them permission to use these coporate images.

Then again there are some aircraft manufacturers that produce models with out any licensing - however the problem with these models is that the colours or quality may be lower than one should expect.

Here's another company yet to produce any PIA's

www.herpa.de - Herpa Wings produce 1/400 and 1/500 scale, I emailed them about PIA and they said they are looking into it...finally !!

I have no idea what the guy is talking about. I dont think he understood what you were talking about. Maybe the person who dealt with Gemini Jets ( when the license for the GJ PIA B772ER was given ) was someone else and as this person might have taken over that guys job this guy may have no idea ??
