Need help... ISB-YYZ

Hello all, my friend and his family has to travel to Canada - Toronto this summer i.e. July (10-13).

Problem is that he cannot travel PIA due to some problems in which major is its schedules which are very much unsuitable because of its final examinations.

I was reading the other thread in which so many carriers which operate to Toronto from Pakistan are Emirates, Gulf Air, Qatar were mentioned... but I cannot see the schedules of these carriers to the destination (not mentioned on their websites). How can the schedules be checked?

And just wanted to know what carrier would the most suitable one for him considering the fares and connecting flights?

Etihad Airways is the most convenient for you...isb-auh-bru-yyz ...flights avbl twice a week from ISB to YYZ.

I would fly BA. The price is good, the service is 3 x weekly. The connection is good on the way but on the way back is something like 6 hours.

For Etihad the schedules do not work.

On the way, you would have to have a minimum of 24 hours in Abu Dhabi.

The return works well (2 hour connection) but this is only works once a week.

(I am not 100% sure of this - I am just using Etihad's website - so someone please correct me if I am wrong)

Etihad going to YYZ with two stops from Pakistan...? I thought it was one in AUH.

Sadiq, Wouldn't British Airways be much more expensive than that of Etihad? And how about the other carriers like Qatar, Gulf and Emirates?

I'm very much surprised to see Toronto not been listed in their destinations, why is it so?

BA does offer some good fares and promotions from Islamabad, but I am not aware of the EY/EK/GF prices.

The AUH-YYZ plane for Etihad stops in Brussels.

Qatar / Gulf / Emirates do offer fares, with the transatlantic portion on either BA or AC, I am not sure about the prices.

A Pakistani TA would probably be able to do better, but here are the published fares between Islamabad and Toronto:

I am seeing some nice availabilty on the Lufthansa flights with the fare around 65,000 PKR including tax.

You have a lot of choice in which flights you can take, so therefore it is a very nice option. For EXAMPLE you could fly:

Islamabad - Dubai Emirates
Dubai - Frankfurt - Toronto Lufthansa
Toronto - Frankfurt - Istanbul Lufthansa
Istanbul - Islamabad PIA

The only flights that have to be on Lufthansa are the Frankfurt-Toronto-Frankfurt portions. Everything else is open to any airline.
