PK785 Islamabad - London
743 is late yet again and this time expected 2 hours late.
(Aircraft expected AP-BGG). (My wife and baby are on board).
Arent these 743's giving PIA too many problems ?

The aircraft is not AP-BGG, it came as PK 751 from ISB via OSL this night at CPH.

yes plenty of 743 trouble - they are old planes - last time at ISB i was in an aborted takeoff in AP-BFX when operation pak785. Two weeks earlier as Pak786 i smelt heavy fuel smell when take off power was established and when engines were turned on - two weeks later i noticed an engine change - different colur of fan spinner and RR Logo.....but also PIA is always late anyway - its tradition that we all arrive late to the airport and the plane waits.

Its called being fashionablly late, lol. Seriously how abt all those claims of punctuality??

there are often a catalogue of reasons that canbeattributed to flight delays other then technicals. although the 743s do have extremely sensitive engines , they arent always the cause of trouble . sometimes passengers turn up late, fuelling the aircraft often takes up extra time , or even late clearence should be factored in. normally a 2 hour delay wud not be a sequel of a technical because technical faults take longer to fix in my experience. must ve been some other reason. its still better that its a 747 that can accomodate the bulk of passengers to lhr, had it been a 320 seater 777 maybe u d ve been held up for a week waiting to catch a flt.
