Salaam,
I am a student pilot from the UK who is enthusiastic about working in Pakistan once my training finishes in the next 2/3 months. I was just wondering if there were any pilots in a similar position to myself who had trained outside of Pakistan and then come to work for a Pakistani airline? I would love to get in touch with you to get some advice and hopefully improve my newtworking within the industry in Pakistan.
Also i would love to get in touch with some pilots who are currently working for Pakistani airlines both commercial and cargo.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Cabair351

Its been a week since i posted this message and despite a lot of views i suppose there arent any pilots of the type that i enquired about in my message above.
However are there any other pilots working for Pakistani airlines who would be willing to answer a few questions i have regarding working in the Pakistani airline industry?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello there!
I didn't see the thread before but then I am not a regular visitor.
What I would have expected others to say is that the main airline PIA (I am pretty sure) requires the applicants to be Pakistani citizens. There are people here with more knowledge than mine to correct me on this if I am wrong.
Among other concerns you would obviously have to convert everything (CPL/IR) to CAA of Pakistan.
I myself am in a similar situation being a Pakistani living in the US, I too am about finish my CPL in approximately 2 months and plan to come back to Pakistan if I can get into PIA.
PIA recruited more than once in the last year and I guess I am just angry at myself for having missed the earlier opportunities. While people continue to indicate PIA is short of pilots I haven't read anywhere when they plan to recruit next.
Anyway keep us posted and good luck.
Best Regards,
Jawad.
