Wrong impression about the LR
Guys, remember once the lightings were being discussed in the forum n we said that they should have had those in the LR, we were WRONG cuz today i got to know from a PIA flight 781 steward that there are all those kinds of mood lightings. Any forum member who travels next should definately reconfirm on this. He explained how they were neon at some occasions and dinner breakfast had thier own settings. At night time it would show the effect of stars. Damn i wanna go n visit that right now

I was a passenger on last Sunday's KHI-YYZ flight and I did not notice the mood lighting. No starry ceiling, no outragously coloured neon - just a well lit interior at boarding and during breakfast and lunch.
As usual, in order to put as many people to sleep for as long as possible, the crew instructed passengers to pull their window shades down after breakfast (Crews are often so eager to do as little as possible that the subtlelty of this request is non-existent - I don't know why PIA doesn't just anesthetize all passengers after take off!)
Having experienced mood lighting on EK's A340 last year, I suspect the mood lighting cycle was turned off during my flight last week. More than likely, the crew did not know how to operate it (I have had to reset/unlock IFE and Empower ports for my seat on PIA's 777's twice in the past year because none of the crew knew how to do this on the operating system!).

Hmmm...seems to be some confusion here...next time just ask and let us know..
Maybe it depends on the crew if they would like to use it, maybe some crew are not familiar with the new systems so dont wont to fill in the bills to pay for it ? When I travel on the B743 some crew still dont now how to run the PTVs..
