PK cut DXB out of GLA flights
From March 29th flights will now route direct from Pakistan to Glasgow. It appears the Wednesday flight will just do LHE-GLA-LHE where as the Saturday route will include ISB aswell as LHE.
Also some rumours that GLA will see a 777 in the not too distant future.

That's weird. From a geographic point of view, GLA-ISB-LHE makes much more sense. I suspect they are probably routin it GLA-LHE-ISB to possibly postion the A310 for another flight.GLAGAZ wrote:Yeh I noticed the 2x weekly LHE aswell without ISB. But when I checked dates in July the Saturday flight went GLA-LHE-ISB.

This decision, which I knew was pending, is both economically and commercially sensible.
I mean, how on earth can PIA compete with a twice weekly A310 when Emirates fly a daily B777-300ER ???!!!!!!
As per a previous post, the Glasgow flights will increase to 5, same as at Birmingham and Oslo.

BHX is already 5 weekly, the next step would be to increase to daily.
PIA's site is taking ages to load... but LHE/ISB-OSL will see a B772 once weekly. PK should go for more frequencies not upgrading the equipment
With EK only flying to ISB 5 weekly and LHE 4 weekly, most of which are fully booked due to pax from LHR/LGW,MAN,BHX and JFKI mean, how on earth can PIA compete with a twice weekly A310 when Emirates fly a daily B777-300ER

Hey SalamPaks !
Once again we miss each other during your weekly transit at MAN !!
!!
Anyway, aircraft delivery will have something to do with the increased Glasgow schedule.
The 5 x weekly flights would be year round but maybe less when the B777 is brought onto the route, something currently under discussion.
In the meantime PIA seems to be using only it's own A310s to Glasgow and non of the leased ones. I can only presume that all owned A310s have been retrofitted with the B777 Business+Plus product ?
