PIA completes pre-Hajj operation with 98.8 pc regularity

KARACHI, Jan 5 (APP)- Maintaining 98.8 percent regularity the massive pre-Hajj operation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was completed on Wednesday with the transportation of 124,465 to the Holy Land.

A total 124,465 hajjis were flown to Saudi Arabia through 350 Hajj flights and 31 Schedule flights.

From Karachi 89 Hajj flights were operated carrying 37,723 Hajjis, from Islamabad 62 flights transporting 27,546 Hajjis, 33,685 pilgrims were flown on 76 flights from Lahore, 77 flights from Peshawar carrying 16,325 Hajjis and 46 flights carrying 9,640 Hajjis from Quetta.

On 31 Schedule flights from Karachi to Jeddah flown with 3,546 Hajjis on board.

The post-Hajj operations from Jeddah will start from January 14.

For convenience of the pilgrims, PIA has made special arrangements to provide complimentary Hajj books (Anwar-e Harmain and Aamal-e-Hajj), Ahrams to male Hajjis and Lady gown to female Hajjis before departure at Hajji Camps.
