no...youre the first person to bring this news to our attention...therefore could u please tell us the source for your information.
also for them to increase it to daily would mean that an A 310 is sitting idle for many hours in Pakistan to enable such a flight to take place OR a certain A 310 destination might be suspended or be upgraded to a B 777.
I dont think so increasing BHX services to daily from ISB would be worthwhile as PIA doesnt have any feeder service to other Asian cities from ISB to support this flight. Its ok to fly daily on a seasonal basis i.e. summer and winter peak season when demand levels are sky high...but daily to BHX on a year round basis with A 310s with no hub connections from ISB to India, DAC, CMB, BKK etc is not a wise idea at all.

yeah, i think PIA would do very well flying daily from BHX. There is so much demand from there alone.
Also PIA's Mon and Thu flight from BHX connects with PIAs flight to Bangkok and Hong Kong, and the return flight from Bangkok and Hong Kong also connect, its about a 5 hour transit is ISB both ways, which is not too bad with the low prices PIA have. It is also worth noticing that the flight to/from HGK/BKK is on a 747.

The Islamabad-Birmingham flight is designed to cater for the Azad Kashmir population settled around Birmingham, and not really designed for transit passengers.
Islamabad is the most convieniant location for them, and not Karachi or Lahore.
Come to think of it, PIA is not designed for transit passengers, rather ethnic travel from Pakistanis living overseas.

Yeah, you're right, PIA will never be an airline for transit passengers. Manchester flights are always full, even in off-peak seasons its difficult to get a seat, even though they have mulitple flights from MAN on a daily basis. 90% of the passengers are Mir Puris. On these sectors like MAN and BHX, there is no room for transit passengers even if PIA wanted.
