Now we know why all lessors reject to take back PIA used jets happened with BMH, BMG (which doesn't look like will be flying again) & BLY, BLZ.
The amount that could have been spent on new jets or cabin upgrades has to been spent to buying out leased planes another story of incompetence from all departments.

PIA could have leased new wide-bodies had they managed to return leased jets not a new story though happening for a long at PIA happened with the leased 747s aswell.

If the UK flights start after EID, what other aircraft will they have. A few of our 777s have engine replacements, and need a cabin upgrade. PIA needs to dry lease maybe 2 or 3 A330s from Air Belgium or some other airline ASAP.

Pakistanis are paying tax, at least use the taxpayers money to dry lease a few 330s for the UK flights.

Firstly, would the tax payer want to see their hard earned money get mismanaged? Secondly, the IMF is watching every single rupee being spent by the government and would not want the government to spend on the airline they told it to privatize. Thirdly, it is not in the ability of the management to induct new jets anymore. They trade parts for parts for their 777s and with the supply shortages faced by manufacturers, no airline would want to trade parts.

They will just start UK operations by phasing out other routes with their aging fleet.

When PIA gets privatized, at least there will be a new management that can buy new planes and improve the fleet cabin.

A more likely scenario would be that the private entity that acquires PIA gets the spare parts required to reactivate the rest of the airlines 777 capacity in the short term. As for the Long term I don't think they will be interested in the A338 as it is a troubled aircraft.

Spare Parts, Cabin Refurbishment to international standards for the 777 and for the long term they should dry lease A350 from FinAir or buy them. If the YB Holdings wins or the 3rd bidder that will be participating by surprise too in the Bidding Process and maybe wins PIA.

BGY is back but BHV is grounded.

BMG: Needs landing gear
BHV: Needs engines
BID: Needs pretty much everything including engines
Why is BGJ grounded ?

This means PIA still hasn't acquired any new engines for the fleet and is still moving around the existing ones from one aircraft to another.

What aircraft will they use for Manchester Flights? Currently B777-300ER has been scheduled, but only BMS is in service.

BGJ is being brought back to service, last I saw it was undergoing a maintenance check and getting new engines.

Has AP-BLB gone technical? It was scheduled for PK133 to Dubai last night, and that flight was cancelled at last minute, and so is PK451 to Skardu. Flightradar seems to show it’s being ferried to Karachi.

Is it true that AP-BID is also joining BGL and BHW to the scrapyard?
