PIA Boeing 777 Jeddah to Lahore Flight PK860 Suffers Bird Hit

According to news reports, PIA Boeing 777 that arrived in Lahore as flight PK860 from Jeddah is grounded due to damage caused by bird hit suffered by an engine of the aircraft.

On March 20, PIA Boeing 777-200ER aircraft registration AP-BGK landed safely on Runway 36R of Lahore Airport at 12:16 PM as flight PK860 from Jeddah. AP-BGK is powered by two General Electric GE90 engines.

Spare parts arriving in Lahore from Karachi for the replacement of damaged engine fan blades of PIA Boeing 777 aircraft registration AP-BGK. Repair work to be completed within few hours today.

After completion of repairs, PIA Boeing 777 aircraft registration AP-BGK expected to perform airline's Lahore to Jeddah flight PK859 with a delay of about 3 hours. Flight PK859 to Jeddah was scheduled to leave Lahore at 4:25 PM.
