They will need 3 to 4 777s for this operation. All ten 777s should be in service for UK, Europe and Saudi routes.

I am guessing all but the two grounded AP-BHW and BGL will be back in service.

PIA should manage the flights in such a manner that each 777 can fly back to Pakistan the same day (or in within 24 hours). If the ground time is managed well, each 777 should be able to do 14 flights a week between Pakistan and the UK (7 each way). Karachi-London flights can be used for rotations as the aircrafts will need to return back to base once in a while rather than operating a domestic flight or a saudi flight. With hajj operations nearing and UK being restored (hopefully) as well, PIA will most probably resume London later on and start with Manchester and Birmingham first if the 777 fleet isn't restored.

Interesting that they will now operate out of T4, why can’t they just return to T3?

If PIA does switch terminals, this would be a historic change, right? Hasn’t PIA always flown from Terminal 3? It certainly has as far as I can remember…

PIA operated this frequency before the ban when they had most 777s operational for UK and EU routes. It'll get difficult to achieve this if reports of only three 777s currently allowed to operate in EU,but fingers crossed. As matter of fact there is enough demand to fly twice daily man-isb and daily bhx- isb
