I wonder why its Abu Dhabi and not Dubai, and I think Karachi is not even part of this equation.

Great news for UAE day trippers and people on extreme budget with laptop or hand bag only

Wizz is good if you just want to travel with no frills, but you get what you pay for. even water is paid for commodity on Wizz flights :D Once you add bags, seats, extras, it can add up to same or more than full service airlines.

Wizz are receiving their A321 long range NEOs this year and they will be starting Rome to AUH flights from summer season. this connection could work for budget travelers but its worth bearing in mind that Wizz don't offer airside connections as their flights are point to point. Passengers would need an entry visa for UAE, pass out through immigration, re-check in ,pass back in through immigration to make a connection to PK

Yes, the parent company is Hungarian based, but the shares of wizz air are listed on the London stock exchange (which is now Non-EU after Brexit). They have various operating companies such as Wizz air Malta, and Wizz air Abu Dhabi.

The below is from their corporate website.

Wizz Air Hungary Ltd. (registered seat: no. 6, Lechner Ödön fasor, Budapest, HU-1095, Hungary; registration number: 01-10-140174).
Wizz Air Holdings Plc. (registered seat: 44 Esplanade, Saint Helier, Jersey JE4 9WG, registration number: 103356).
Wizz Air UK Ltd. (registered seat: Percival House 134 Percival Way, London Luton Airport Roundabout, Luton, United Kingdom LU2 9NU; registration number: 10982241).
Wizz Air Malta Limited (registered seat: Skyparks Business Centre, Level 2, Malta International Airport, Luqa LQA 4000, Malta; registration number: C 102218).
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi L.L.C. (registered seat: Business Park 01, Plot P6, Office number 208, Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; registration number: 11513393).

They would probably miss quite some opportunities if they do not offer connections onto Europe. But if they get their planes filled with point to point traffic most of times, they wont bother either then.

I would love to see more LCC offering connections to Pakistan. Right now only Air Arabia / Fly Jinnah are offering that.
