Pakistan Customs at Lahore Airport has recovered mobile phones smuggled by PIA a flight attendant. The flight attendant had arrived in Lahore as member of cabin crew of airline's flight PK264 from Abu Dhabi.

On January 25, PIA Airbus A320 aircraft registration AP-BON arrived in Lahore at 6:31 AM as flight PK264 from Abu Dhabi.

PIA air hostess, a crew member of airline's flight PK264 from Abu Dhabi, was intercepted at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport after her luggage raised suspicion.

After her luggage was flagged for inspection, customs recovered dozens of expensive mobile phones concealed in her belongings upon a thorough search. The phones were confiscated, and disciplinary action has been initiated against the air hostess, according to Customs officials.

"Her baggage raised red flags, prompting us to conduct a detailed inspection," an official said. The contraband was immediately seized, and further investigations are underway. The incident follows a string of smuggling cases involving PIA staff.

There's probably someone within PIA's system who's encouraging the crew members to take such steps otherwise we don't see such things happening with private carriers regularly, let alone foreign carriers.

PIA spokesperson said smartphones were seized from the possession of an air hostess upon her arrival in Lahore from Abu Dhabi.

She was on board flight PK264, which landed on Saturday. Upon arrival, Customs authorities at the airport recovered a number of expensive mobile phones from her possession.

The PIA management immediately suspended the air hostess and issued a show-cause notice to her on January 25.

She had been asked to submit a written reply in three days, after which it would be decided whether to initiate disciplinary action against her.

The spokesperson said further investigation was underway, and if the crew member was found guilty, she would face action under company policy.

Don't think there is someone, rather there is this sense of security among crew involves that union will rescue them. In full private airlines, you are fired and ain't any thugs from union coming to your rescue.
