Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) tender notice in February 4, 2024, newspaper for:
Provision and installation of chain link fencing (length approximately 4,800 RFT) at newly acquired land for parallel runway at Sialkot International Airport.
I personally think that in the longer term, they need to build one huge airport for the Lahore-Sialkot-Faislabad region which is easily accessible for all cities by motorways or dedicated Airport highways. Faislabad Airport seems like a flop with only low cost airlines operating to the station and a few weekly flights for PIA.

exactly... these 3 cities are geographically close and a one giant airport can cater for all three cities & region connected by high speed train..

Definitely. Our aviation sector and passenger traffic is not as big to have three airports for these three major cities. They should move LHE to somewhere on outskirts on the western side and motorway is already there. It would also cater the areas like Sahiwal, Okara very well.

Seems logical but three different airport projects means three times corruption opportunity as compared to one
London has 5 airports (6 if you count Southend on sea). All of them are accessible by rain. In my opinion, a high speed rail that starts from Sialkot to Alma Iqbal Interational via Sialkot International, Gujrawala, Muridke and Lahore Railway Station could be really helpful for travellers who might find a cheaper fare in city B instead of city A. Plus budget airlines could induce a lot of demand for air travel domestically (I paid 12,000 rupees for a roundtrip between London and Milan, Im certain its possible in Pakistan to do the same).
There is already a motor way planed between Sialkot and Islamabad. Parts of it are already under construction. Once completed, along with Islamabad ring road, this will pretty much link up all three airports, Lahore, Sialkot and Islamabad. Now all that needs to be done is to extend the M4 motorway up to Sialkot and Faisalabad will also be linked to up. Currently Faisalabad is linked to Lahore and Islamabad via motorway.
I am not in favour of railway, as Pakistani passengers tend to have a large amount of luggage, so lugging this around on a train would be a nightmare. Most people would go for road transport anyway.
Sialkot has huge potential, but the road infrastructure needs to be improved, especially for people traveling from Gujrat and surrounding areas, currently there is a huge bottleneck in Wazirabad, which is a nightmare if traveling to Sialkot airport form the south. With the new motorway, this can be avoided.
