Pakistan Navy tender notice in December 13 newspaper for rectification of DAAR provision of facilities for civil flying operations from Pakistan Navy (PN) runway at Naval Air Station (NAS) in Turbat.

Introduction of DAAR

Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Directorate of Airspace and Aerodrome Regulations (DAAR) was established in July 2009. This Directorate is responsible to ensure Regulatory and Safety Oversight function of Air Navigation Services and Aerodromes in Pakistan for all aspects concerning services, procedures, functions and related Aeronautical infrastructure and facilities in compliance with National Regulations and International (ICAO) Standards & Recommended Practices (SARPs).

The responsibilities and functions of DAAR are executed through following three branches:-
Aerodrome Standards (AS) Branch
Airspace & Air Navigation Standards (AANS) Branch
Technical Standards (TS) Branch
