About time PIA brings back the grounded 777s. Paris as expected will be the first destination. I would've done 6x weekly: 3x from Lahore and 3x from Islamabad. But knowing what PIA has done historically, it would be 1x weekly for both stations.

Mr Cordes will not be happy on release of a confidential message to public. DG CAA office should look into this.Abbas Ali wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 7:41 pm EASA message to DG Pakistan CAA Nadir Shafi shared on social media.

I think the CAA waited until the confidentiality expired. They asked for it to be confidential until 1300 UTC (at which time operators would be informed) and this is when it was released.
Other than that, great news Alhamdulillah. Hope it brings success for Pak aviation industry.

Is the current PIA fleet of 16 active planes even capable to cater to the fight demand ? These old airframes will be down for maintenance every now and then if flight ops start to EU. To get all 777s airborne heavy funds and time is required, can't see any flights happening in next 2 months.

Does anyone know what happend to PIA London Heathrow slots? If leased out to another airline, it might be a while before they can get them back and so a while before Heathrow service starts.

True plus iโm sure AP-BHW and AP-BGL have been removed from the fleet, going into 2025 demand will rise and there will be a lack of Aircraft.
