On November 3, departure of Serene Air Airbus A330-200 (aircraft registration AP-BNG) flight ER524 to Lahore was delayed at Karachi airport due to technical problem with an engine of the aircraft. The aircraft is powered by two General Electric CF6 engines. Passengers were offloaded and allowed to go home. On November 3, Serene Air flight ER524 to Lahore was scheduled to leave Karachi at 7:50 PM.
On November 4, Serene Air Airbus A330-200 (aircraft registration AP-BNG) flight ER524 to Lahore again experienced technical problem at Karachi Airport during another departure attempt. The aircraft due to technical problem returned to parking bay after taxiing for departure. Passengers were offloaded again.
Passengers of the delayed flight staged protest and argued with Serene Air staff at Karachi Airport.
On November 4, Serene Air Airbus A330-200 (aircraft registration AP-BNG) as flight ER524 to Lahore was able to leave Karachi at 1:11 PM with a delay of 17 hours 21 minutes.
