Wreckage of PIA Boeing 720B in desert some 10 miles from Cairo Airport
On May 20, 1965, PIA Boeing 720B (aircraft registration AP-AMH) crashed during landing approach to Cairo Airport. The aircraft was performing inaugural flight PK705 to Cairo on Karachi-Dhahran-Cairo-London route. The crash killed 119 people aboard the aircraft including 13 crew members. Salahuddin Siddique was one of 6 survivors of the accident. Salahuddin was PIA Press Officer and 34 years old at the time of air crash.
^ The completed investigation was unable to determine the reason for abnormal descent into the ground executed by the aircraft. Maybe that's why no one was able to produce investigation documentary on this air crash.
